13 questions to explore
What does Bureaufi do?
Bureaufi helps verified lenders report verified commercial loan trade lines and payment-performance information to business credit bureaus. We connect business lending activity with a documented business credit history.
Is Bureaufi a lender or a credit bureau?
No. Bureaufi is a data furnishing company. We help verified lenders report business-loan information; we do not originate loans or operate as a credit bureau.
Does Bureaufi report consumer credit?
No. Bureaufi focuses on commercial loans to business entities and reporting to business credit bureaus, not consumer credit bureaus.
Who is Bureaufi for?
Bureaufi serves business lenders, including private money lenders and hard money lenders. Brokers and other lending intermediaries can learn how lender participation works. Reporting participation depends on verification and the applicable requirements.
Can every loan be reported?
Not automatically. The lender, business borrower, loan information, and applicable reporting requirements need to be reviewed. Preparing a checklist does not establish eligibility or activate reporting.
What should a lender prepare for onboarding?
Start with business and lending information, an overview of your commercial loan portfolio, and an understanding of how you maintain loan and payment records. Do not send borrower records through this public website. Specific onboarding requirements are addressed during lender review.
What information does reporting involve?
Reporting generally involves verified commercial loan trade-line information and payment performance. The required fields, supporting records, and applicable reporting process are established as part of onboarding.
How often is loan information reported?
Bureaufi's service is designed around monthly business-loan payment reporting. A lender's reporting schedule, submission requirements, and start date are established during onboarding; this website does not promise a particular reporting or bureau-processing date.
Which business credit bureaus receive the information?
The applicable reporting destinations are confirmed during lender onboarding. This website does not represent that any particular loan is reported to every business credit bureau.
Can a borrower report a loan directly through Bureaufi?
Bureaufi's service is lender-led. Business borrowers should start by asking their lender about participation. Borrower self-reporting is not offered through this website.
Does reporting guarantee a better credit score or financing?
No. Reporting does not guarantee a credit-score change, loan approval, financing terms, or any other outcome. Business credit bureaus and financing providers apply their own criteria.
What if I think my loan information is incorrect?
Start with your lender to review the underlying loan and payment records. If a correction is needed, follow the applicable lender and bureau processes. Do not post sensitive loan or borrower information on this public website.
Can I sign up or upload loan files here?
Use the lender signup form to request onboarding when its secure connection is available. The one-time lender account setup fee is $499, followed by $59 per active loan per month. Submission does not collect payment, create portal access, activate reporting, or accept loan files. The separate preparation checklist stays on your device.
